A fire that struck the Lima Joviano Satler State School building in Jardim Colorado in Suzano on Tuesday morning may have been caused by a small group of students from the school unit itself. Reports from local people report that some students were already threatening to burn down the school a few days ago.
The fire was reported to have started around 9:30 am in a classroom where some school books were stored on the ground floor.
Within minutes, a dark smoke filled the building, scaring students and staff there. There was a rush, but everyone in the building was able to leave the place safely.
No one was injured and the fire was soon controlled.
